In 1956 four RNoAF Noorduyn
Norseman Mk.IV aircraft were
prepared for service wuth the UN
during the Suez crisis, and were
painted accordingly. However the
request was cancelled before the
aircraft were sent away.

During the Congo crisis in 1960-
1964 five DHC-3 Otter aircraft
were operated by the Light
Transport Squadron. Two aircraft
were supplied from the U.S. Army,
two from the RNoAF while one
aircraft was delivered directly
from de Havilland Canada.
